You won't find this on most tourist radars, which is rather the point. Ahoghill Community Garden sits quietly in a village just outside Ballymena, the sort of place where locals actually grow things instead of just reading about allotments in Sunday supplements.

It's a working garden run by the community - vegetables, flowers, the lot - rather than a manicured attraction with admission fees and gift shops. It works well as a quiet morning stop if you're staying at one of the nearby glamping spots like Sunset Glamping or Lough Beg - both proper five-star setups that appeal to people who'd appreciate this sort of thing anyway. You won't spend hours here, but it's the kind of place that reminds you why you came to Northern Ireland rather than Florida. Real people, real place, proper low-key.
