If you're after high-octane entertainment or intricate flower displays, look elsewhere. But if you want somewhere to decompress while staying close to Bewdley, it's worth a visit.

Being just outside Bewdley puts you within striking distance of several holiday parks - Bank Farm Holiday Park is barely half a mile away, making this an easy add-on to a week's break. Hopleys Family Camping and Pinewood Retreat Glamping are each under four miles, so you could make Arley part of a broader touring itinerary around the area.

The real advantage is that it doesn't require much planning. You're unlikely to arrive and find it rammed. The downside is the lack of facilities - bring a picnic and sensible footwear. Go when the weather's decent; trudging around muddy paths in November rain loses its appeal quickly.
