Football obsessives will spend a couple of hours easily. The trophy room is genuinely impressive, and if you're into kit design or tactical history, there's real substance beneath the merchandise. Kids will find it engaging enough, though whether they'll stretch beyond an hour depends entirely on how much they care about the badge.

The stadium tour itself - which includes museum access - runs you through the dressing rooms and pitch-side tunnel. Walking out onto that grass is the bit that actually moves you, not the vitrines. The museum feels like an afterthought to that experience, to be honest.

You'll need to book ahead and allow three hours total if you're doing the full tour. It's not cheap, which feels a bit much for what amounts to a well-organised storeroom of memorabilia. Fair enough if you're a Gooner making a pilgrimage, less so if you're just after a rainy-day activity.

Lee Valley Camping and Caravan Park sits northeast in Edmonton - workable for a visit, though it's not exactly a destination park. Central London base would serve you far better for combining this with actual sightseeing.
