Ash Coppice

There's no entrance fee that we're aware of, and you can spend anywhere from forty minutes to a couple of hours depending on which paths you take. The best visit is autumn when the light changes the whole character, though winter reveals the woodland structure properly. Given Cheltenham's only a short drive away, Ash Coppice works well as a morning walk before heading to the nearby caravan parks - Tewkesbury Abbey or Croft Farm Water Park give you proper base camps for exploring the wider area. It's the kind of place you go when you want actual woodland, not the Instagram version.
