Brechfa Pool

The pool makes a decent half-day outing before heading into Brecon for lunch, or combine it with the broader walking country that surrounds this part of Powys. Bringing kids? They'll cope with the walk fine, though there's not much to do once you're there beyond throwing stones and spotting ducks. For serious walkers or birdwatchers, it justifies the trip. Casual visitors might find it pleasant but unspectacular - pleasant isn't always a bad thing though.
