The River Don curves through Cantley Park like it owns the place, and frankly it does. Summer's decent too if you want a walk that feels removed from things, though the midges can be a bit much on still days. Winter's moody - fewer birds around but fewer people too, which some prefer. Allow two to three hours for a proper circuit if you're not rushing.

Families with older kids who can manage a walk without constant stimulation will get the most from this. Toddlers might find it bit lacking in obvious attractions - there's no playground, no cafe, no interpretation boards doing the wildlife spotting for you. You have to engage with it yourself. That's either the appeal or the drawback depending on your lot.
