It's a working landscape of woodland, grassland, and wetland - the kind of space where you actually spot things rather than just walk through scenery. Dragonflies, woodland birds, the occasional flash of colour if you're patient enough.

The reserve works best for anyone who likes a gentle pace. It's not a destination that'll keep hyperactive kids entertained for hours, but if you've got family members who enjoy spotting wildlife or a proper woodland walk without the crowds, this delivers.
