This unusual museum is essentially a graveyard of vintage agricultural machinery - rusting hulks of wheat-cutting behemoths that once dominated English farmland, now lined up in varying states of decay across what feels like a proper working farm setting.

It's a niche attraction, there's no getting round that. But if you've got kids who can't get enough of big machinery, or you're the sort of person fascinated by how farming has changed over the decades, it's genuinely absorbing. You'll spot machines from different eras, each one telling a story about agricultural progress and rural life. The sheer scale of some of these things is sobering when you're standing next to them.

The site feels authentic rather than polished - no theme park treatment here. You're essentially wandering round an actual collection, which means it's a bit rough at the edges but all the more interesting for it. Expect to spend an hour or so, maybe longer if you're the type to chat with whoever's around about tractor specifications.

Stay at one of the nearby caravan parks - Harbury Fields Farm or Holt Farm are both within a few miles - and combine this with exploring the Warwickshire countryside on foot. It won't suit everyone, but if agricultural history or industrial heritage resonates with you, it's worth the detour from Southam.
