Cowpasture Spinney

A small woodland patch near Northampton that feels like the kind of place locals know about but visitors stumble upon by accident. Cowpasture Spinney is proper woodland - dense enough to lose the sound of traffic, open enough that you're not fighting through brambles the entire time.

It's a walk-through spot rather than a destination in itself. The paths are soft underfoot, the canopy thick, and it's the sort of place where you might spot a roe deer if you're quiet enough.
