Pull into Craigmead and you'll find exactly what the name promises - a car park with tables, bins, and views over Fife. It's not a destination in itself, but it's a proper useful spot if you're touring the area around Kinross. Twenty minutes at most, unless you've got a flask and want to linger over a sandwich. The picnic area works best as a pit stop between exploring Loch Leven and whatever else you're doing locally. Families will appreciate being able to stretch legs without leaving the car, though there's nothing to occupy children for long. The views are decent enough - rolling countryside rather than dramatic - and it's free, which helps when you're managing a tight budget on a caravan holiday. If you're based at Wild Goose Glamping or one of the other parks nearby, this is handy for a casual lunch break. Balbirnie Park and Kingdom Caravan Park are both within five miles, so Craigmead works as a waypoint if you're doing a loop around the area. Go on a clear day and the views improve noticeably.
