Findon Wood

The walk doesn't demand a full day, which means you can combine it with other Highland walks in the area without feeling rushed.

Go when the weather's decent - midges and heavy rain turn it from pleasant to miserable fairly quickly. Locals use these woods regularly, which tells you it's worth the effort.
