Flamborough Methodist Church : Flamborough

The Methodist chapel sitting on Flamborough's high street is one of those places you'd easily walk past if you weren't looking for it - which would be a shame. Built in the 19th century, it's a proper period piece with that distinctive red brick and chapel proportions that tell you exactly what Victorian Methodism valued: solid, honest construction with no nonsense about it.

Inside, the space is intimate and sincere. High ceilings, simple wooden pews, that particular smell of old hymn books and beeswax. Works well as a ten-minute cultural break between the beach and lunch rather than a destination in itself.
