Flip Out Watford

Flip Out Watford is an indoor trampoline park that's basically what happens when someone decides gravity is optional. You get wall-to-wall trampolines, foam pits, dodgeball courts, and ninja warrior-style obstacle courses spread across a proper warehouse space just outside Watford town centre.

It's squarely aimed at kids aged about five to fifteen, though teenagers will find it more entertaining than the younger set tend to. Adults can absolutely join in if they've got the energy - it's a decent workout if you're not careful. You'll need an hour minimum to get your money's worth, though most families stay two to three hours before everyone's exhausted.

Bring socks. Seriously. Entry isn't free but it's reasonably priced for what amounts to supervised bouncing around. School holidays get rammed, so weekday afternoons are your best bet if you want to actually move between activities.

If you're staying at one of the nearby parks - Bushey Hall is closest at under a mile away - this works as a half-day activity when the weather's turned. It's not going to occupy a full week's holiday, but paired with Aldenham Country Park just three miles south for some outdoor space, you've got a decent mix of indoor and fresh air covered. The Watford town centre has enough shops and cafés that you can make an afternoon of it without feeling like you're just killing time between attractions.
