Folly Wall

A brick wall in south London that shouldn't exist but does. Folly Wall is exactly what it sounds like - a genuine Victorian-era folly, built purely as an architectural joke by someone with money and questionable taste. It's in Eltham, and unless you know to look for it, you'll walk straight past.

The wall itself is modest in scale but oddly compelling. Red brick, Victorian flourishes, the kind of thing that makes you pause and think: why? Someone actually built this. That's the whole point.
