Gashouse Spinney

A proper woodland walk just outside Northampton, Gashouse Spinney is one of those quiet forests you stumble upon and wonder why more people aren't here. It's a small mixed woodland - nothing vast, but genuinely lovely for an hour or two of gentle rambling through trees and open glades.

The paths wind through mature oak and birch with plenty of undergrowth, the kind of place where you might spot rabbits bolting across the track or catch sight of woodland birds if you're patient.
