Gesail Covert

Walking into this ancient woodland feels like stepping back centuries. Gesail Covert spreads across a hillside near Marianglas, its gnarled oaks and twisted hawthorns creating a proper old-growth forest that's become increasingly rare in Wales. The canopy blocks out most daylight, giving the place an almost mystical quality that children find either thrilling or slightly unnerving.
