About Graig Wood
This is a straightforward woodland walk rather than a managed attraction with interpretation boards or facilities. You'll find rough tracks winding through the trees, good for getting some proper exercise without needing to be a fell walker. The terrain's uneven in places - decent boots recommended - but nothing technical. Families with reasonably fit kids will manage it fine; younger ones might find it a bit much depending on length and patience levels.
Go in spring for bluebells or autumn for the colours. Winter's moody but muddy. There's no formal car park that I'm aware of, so you're likely parking in Welshpool itself and walking from there, which means this works best as a half-day venture rather than an all-day thing.
If you're based at one of the nearby glamping spots - Oaklands or The Secret Yurts are within a couple of miles - it's a no-fuss add-on to your morning. Nothing fancy, no admission charges as far as I know, just woodland as it should be. Bring a packed lunch if you're making a proper day of it, because there's nowhere to eat once you're in among the trees.
