Hafotty Covert

It's not spectacular, but there's something satisfying about the soft carpet of pine needles underfoot and the filtered light through the canopy. The going can be muddy after rain, so decent boots are essential.

Families with energetic kids will find it works well for a morning's exploration, though don't expect marked trails or visitor facilities. This is very much a case of following forestry roads and smaller paths where they lead. An hour or two is plenty unless you're a serious tree enthusiast.
