It's a straightforward trail rather than a technical hike, so families with school-age kids will manage it fine. Toddlers might struggle with the climb, but there's nothing too gnarly underfoot. The real audience here is anyone staying nearby who wants a proper outlook without committing to a full day's walk. Tarbert sits just a few miles inland if you need supplies or a decent pub afterwards.
