You're looking out across Bridlington Bay with the cliffs dropping away beneath you. On a clear day the view reaches far enough to make the effort worthwhile. The path down is accessible without being a hike, so families won't spend three hours getting there and back. Most people allow 30 minutes to an hour - enough time to breathe in the sea air, take the photos, maybe sit on a bench if the weather's cooperating.

It works best for walkers exploring the coastal path, or anyone staying at the nearby holiday parks - Haven Thornwick Bay, Haven Reighton Sands, and the others dotted around Bridlington are all within easy reach. If you're based at one of those for a week, this is exactly the sort of detour that breaks up an afternoon without demanding a major expedition.

Winter visits can be windier but less crowded. Summer's busier, though it rarely feels rammed compared to southern coast spots. The admission's free - it's just a viewpoint, no café or facilities that I'm aware of. Bridlington itself sits right there, so if you fancy lunch afterwards, the town's a short drive away. Not a destination in itself, but if you're in the area, it deserves 20 minutes of your time.
