Killick's Mill, Meopham

The old watermill at Meopham sits quietly beside the river, a proper chunk of Kent's industrial past that most people driving through town completely miss. Killick's Mill isn't a museum with gift shops and laminated information boards - it's the real thing, weathered and substantial, a working reminder of how this corner of the county once ran on water power.

What you're looking at is a genuine 18th-century mill building, solid brick and timber, the kind of place that actually mattered to the local economy when that meant something.
