Kilmallie Parish Church, Corpach

The churchyard itself is worth a wander if you've got ten minutes - old gravestones, views across to the hills, and that particular quiet you only find in Highland burial grounds.

It works best if you're already in the area exploring Fort William or tackling Ben Nevis. History types and anyone interested in Highland ecclesiastical architecture will find it genuine and atmospheric. Families with small children might manage twenty minutes before restlessness sets in.

Admission is free, though donations are appreciated. No set hours that we know of, so you're at the mercy of whether it's locked - early morning or late afternoon gives you the best chance. The church sits handily between Linnhe Lochside Holidays and Ben Nevis Holiday Park, making it an easy detour if you're staying in one of those. Glen Nevis Caravan & Camping Park is barely three miles away too. Worth stopping by if you're nearby, but not worth a special journey on its own.
