Little pond Magna Park

The pond at Magna Park isn't going to blow your mind, but it's a decent spot if you're staying nearby in Lutterworth or one of the caravan sites dotted around this corner of Warwickshire. It's a working industrial estate masquerading as a logistics hub, so don't expect a countryside ramble - the pond sits within what's basically a business park on the edge of town.

What you get is a small body of water that pulls in a bit of wildlife, mainly birdwatchers and the odd angler. The walking around it is flat and straightforward, which suits families with young kids or anyone after a gentle twenty-minute stroll rather than a proper hike. The real draw is if you're killing time between other activities or fancy a breath of fresh air without leaving the car parks too far behind.

If you're based at Rosemarie Caravan Site or Meadow Field Luxury Glamping, it's close enough for a quick morning walk before breakfast. Don't schedule your whole day around it though. The pond itself is functional rather than beautiful - you won't be reaching for your camera much. It works best as part of a wider loop around the estate rather than a standalone destination.

Free to wander, no permits needed as far as I can tell. Best visited when it's not pelting rain, mind, since there's nowhere to shelter. Spring and early summer bring more birdlife if that's your thing.
