Mill of Muckly

The remains of Mill of Muckly sit quietly beside a burn near Erigmore, and they're worth a stop if you're already wandering this corner of Perthshire. What you're looking at are the ruins of an old meal mill - the sort of place that would have ground grain for the local community centuries back. The stonework is weathered now, but you can still make out the basic structure if you know what to look for.

It's not a dramatic ruin. Don't expect turrets or dramatic arches. This is proper industrial archaeology - practical, worn, and honest.
