Naseby Sailing Club

Naseby Sailing Club sits on the edge of Naseby Reservoir, a proper inland water sports venue that's been serving the sailing community for decades. You'll find a working club here - not a tourist attraction with a cafe and gift shop, but an actual place where people come to sail, windsurfing, and kayak. The water itself is the draw, wide and open with decent winds on most days, and the surrounding fields give it that English countryside feel you can't fake.

This is for active types, plain and simple. If you're a sailor or windsurfer, you'll want to know about membership and launch fees - ring ahead as opening hours and visitor policies aren't widely advertised. Non-sailors can walk the perimeter paths and enjoy the water views, though there's nothing here to occupy you for more than an hour if you're not getting on the water yourself. It's the sort of place families stop by en route rather than make a destination of.

Northamption sits just south, making this easy to slot into a broader day out. Several holiday parks nearby - Lakeview Glamping is under two miles away, Bunkers Hill Farm even closer - mean you could base yourself locally and visit when the mood takes you. The real appeal is the sailing itself though. If you're keen on water sports, it's worth the detour. If you're after views and a stroll, save your time and head to one of the larger East Midlands reserves instead.
