Nature Trail Viewpoint

Walking boots on, you'll find this elevated spot along one of the many footpaths that spider across Cornwall's clay country near Penwithick. The viewpoint sits at the end of what appears to be a nature trail, though don't expect elaborate signage or manicured paths - this is proper countryside walking.

From up here, the landscape spreads out in all directions: a patchwork of fields, hedgerows, and distant moorland that's quintessentially Cornish. On clear days, you might catch glimpses of the coast, though the real appeal is the immediate countryside rolling away beneath you. Families with older children will appreciate the walk, but toddlers might find the terrain challenging.

The trail itself varies in difficulty depending on weather conditions. After rain, expect muddy patches and slippery sections. Allow an hour for the round trip, longer if you're stopping to admire the views or let the dog have a proper run.

Being close to several holiday parks including East Crinnis and Tremarne Campsite, it makes for a decent morning walk when you fancy stretching your legs away from busier tourist spots.
