Norfolk Pond

Norfolk Pond sits just outside Norwich, a proper working landscape feature that's been part of the local geography for centuries. It's not a manicured tourist attraction with cafes and gift shops - this is a genuine Norfolk waterway where you'll find locals walking dogs, fishermen setting up for the afternoon, and birdwatchers keeping their eyes peeled.

The pond itself is the draw. You get decent views across open water, and the surrounding banks are pleasant enough for a wander, especially if you're into wildlife spotting. Herons, various ducks, and in winter, the occasional visiting species make it worth bringing binoculars. The walk around takes a decent hour if you're not rushing, less if you just want a quick look and a breath of fresh air.
