Twycross is a proper zoo, not some drive-through operation, and the Orangutan House is one of its standout attractions. You'll see them swinging through the space, interacting with enrichment activities, and if you time it right, feeding time is genuinely captivating. It's not a massive walk-around - most people spend 30-45 minutes here - but it's worth lingering if the animals are active.

Families with kids aged six and up will get the most from it; younger children might lose interest quickly. History types won't find much heritage angle here, but walkers heading to Atherstone can easily make the zoo part of a wider day out.
