Pablo Bronstein's Beach Hut sits on the shingle near Folkestone like a small, deliberate provocation. It's an art installation that looks like someone's actually lived in it - weathered wood, modest proportions, nothing grand. If you're camping at Hawthorne Trench Campsite six miles inland, it's an easy drive for a coastal walk. Allow maybe twenty minutes here, longer if you're the type to sit on the shingle and think about it. Free to look at, obviously. Best visited on a quieter day when you're not fighting crowds - which won't be difficult.
