Pearl Engine House

Standing like a forgotten sentinel in the Anglesey countryside, this Victorian engine house tells the story of the island's copper mining heritage. The Pearl Engine House, just outside Penysarn, marks where miners once descended into the depths to extract precious metal from beneath the Welsh soil. What remains is the substantial stone shell of the pumping engine building, its sturdy walls and distinctive tall chimney still impressive against the rural backdrop.
