Perran Springs is a holiday park just outside Goonhavern in mid-Cornwall, and it's the sort of place that works best if you're already planning a week in the area rather than a specific destination in itself. The park sits on decent grounds with the usual mix of static caravans and touring pitches - nothing fancy, but functional and well-maintained for what it is.

The real draw is location. You're positioned between some cracking spots on the north coast - Perranporth Beach is a short drive away, and you've got easy access to the quieter inland villages that actually feel like Cornwall rather than a theme park version of it. If you're here with young kids or just want a reliable base for exploring, it does the job without pretension.

Worth knowing: the park itself isn't a destination - you don't come here for the facilities and then stay in your caravan. You come here because the pitches are decent, it's reasonably priced for the area, and Goonhavern puts you roughly equidistant from the north coast attractions and the quieter clay country inland. Anchor Barrow Campsite nearby has slightly better reviews if you want a tighter, more intimate setup, while Trevarth Holiday Park also scores well if you're flexible on location. But if you book Perran Springs, you won't be disappointed - it's reliable, unpretentious, and you won't feel fleeced for the experience.
