The pillbox near Halesworth is one of those oddly compelling relics of World War II that you stumble across while walking the Suffolk countryside. Access appears to be from public footpaths, though you'll want to check locally as land ownership can be tricky. Best visited on a dry day - the ground gets muddy around these things. Don't expect crowds or facilities; that's rather the point.
