Potton Wood (Forestry Commission)

The ground's generally well-maintained, though it can be boggy in patches after rain. It's free and open access, which is exactly what you want from a Forestry Commission site. Go mid-week if you can; weekends bring the crowds from Sandy and beyond. The walk sits perfectly between Cambridgeshire Lakes and Guilden Gate Glamping, so it's an easy morning or afternoon outing if you're based at either site. Worth the detour? Only if you're already in the area. As standalone attractions go, it's pleasant enough but nothing that'll have you planning a special trip.
