The pool is genuinely free, which counts for something when you're running a family holiday on a budget. There's no pretension here - it's a working seaside amenity, not some fancy leisure complex. It works brilliantly if you're based at one of the nearby caravan parks like Haven Golden Sands or Mablethorpe Camping and Caravanning Club Site, both within easy walking distance.

Timing matters though. Early morning or late afternoon beats the midday rush when every family within five miles seems to have the same idea. The town itself doesn't offer much beyond a classic seaside arcade vibe, so this pools works best as part of a broader beach day rather than a solo destination. Combine it with a walk along the prom or a bit of exploring Mablethorpe's seafront and you've got a decent few hours sorted.

Really worth doing if you're caravan camping locally with young kids. Less essential if you're after somewhere to properly swim - head to an actual leisure centre for that.
