Rabbit Dell

A small wooded dell just outside Chesham, Rabbit Dell is exactly what it sounds like - a tucked-away forest pocket where the landscape dips and the trees close in properly. There's not much in the way of facilities or fanfare, which is rather the point. You walk in, you're among the trees, and that's the experience.

It's best suited to anyone after a gentle woodland stroll without the crowds of the major Chiltern attractions. Families with younger kids will manage a decent exploration here without it becoming a forced march. The dell itself is small enough that you won't lose an hour wandering about, but there's something satisfying about how enclosed it feels - you could genuinely forget Chesham is nearby.
