The vantage point at Sea View, just outside New Romney, does exactly what it says on the tin - gives you proper views across the Kent coast. It's a straightforward spot, nothing fancy, but on a clear day the expanse of shingle and sea stretches out with genuine appeal. You won't spend hours here, but it's the sort of place that makes sense as a stop during a walk or a quick break from the caravan.

The actual draw is the perspective over Romney Marsh and the coastline itself. Walkers particularly get something from it, especially if you're tackling longer routes across the marshland. Families with young kids might find fifteen minutes enough unless they're properly into spotting boats or making up stories about the horizon. There's no infrastructure to speak of - no café, no facilities - so come prepared if you're planning to linger.

It works best as part of a broader coastal wander rather than a destination in itself. If you're staying at Parkdean Resorts Romney Sands, which sits barely a mile away, or any of the other parks dotted along this stretch, Sea View becomes a natural diversion. The proximity to New Romney means you can combine it with proper amenities in town. Timing-wise, late afternoon light catches things nicely, though obviously that shifts with the seasons. Worth the detour if you're already in the area and fancy a bit of open air. Less so if you're driving specially.
