Silkstone Waggonway

The Silkstone Waggonway sits quietly near Barnsley, a relic of industrial Britain that most people walk past without noticing. This was one of the earliest railways in the country - built in 1810 to haul coal from the pits to the canal. You won't find theme park thrills here.
