A proper sports facility in Alcester serving the local Warwickshire community with indoor courts and activity spaces. It's the kind of place you'd bring kids for a specific badminton lesson or basketball session rather than a casual family day out - not really a tourist draw in its own right.

If you're staying at one of the caravan parks nearby - Wixford Grange is just two miles away, or Island Meadow at under three - and your children are keen on indoor sports, it's worth ringing ahead to check what's on. The venue handles regular coaching and matches, so you might catch something worthwhile if the timing works out. But don't plan a holiday around it.

The Alcester area itself has more character than the sports hall does. You're close enough to the Avon valley and within striking distance of Stratford-upon-Avon if you fancy something with actual historical weight. If you're basing yourself at Wootton Park's glamping pods or Dodwell Park further out, the sports hall makes sense as a rainy-day backup for active kids, but it's not the reason to visit Warwickshire.
