If you're staying at Porthilly Beach Holiday Park or Dennis Cove Campsite nearby, you'll see the course from your caravan. Non-golfers might find it less gripping than, say, a coastal walk, though the setting is undeniably striking. The views across the estuary and towards Padstow are worth the detour if you've got an interest in the game.

Golfers will want to book well ahead - it's not the kind of place you ring up on a Tuesday morning and get straight on. Green fees and membership details need checking directly, but this isn't a municipal nine-holer. The course demands respect and decent handicaps. Allow a full morning or afternoon, plus travel time from St Minver Holiday Park or Padstow Holiday Village if you're based further out.
