St John the Evangelist is the kind of place that rewards curiosity rather than demanding it - the sort of church you stumble upon whilst exploring the town itself and think, 'Right, let's have a look inside.'

Families won't get much from it unless history clicks for them; walkers and those after a bit of local colour will find it worthwhile. Don't expect it to be a highlight, but don't skip it either.
