It's free entry, which is the right price for what's on offer, though opening hours can be patchy so check before you head over. If you're based at Peewit Caravans or Felixstowe Beach Holiday Park, it's barely worth firing up the car - you could walk it. Even from Suffolk Sands it's manageable.

Worth half a day if the weather's decent, especially if you've got kids who'd rather see a real pig than another ice cream. Adults looking for deep historical interpretation might find it a bit light, but it's honest and unpretentious - which, frankly, is what Suffolk does best.
