The Smatcher

The Smatcher rises abruptly from the Powys landscape near Presteigne, a modest but characterful peak that rewards the short walk up with proper views across Mid Wales. You're not looking at some vast alpine experience here - this is proper Welsh hill walking territory, where the views stretch for miles but the elevation sits at a manageable level that won't crush your legs.

The walk itself takes maybe an hour from the base, depending on fitness.
