Titcombe Wood

You won't find it on many maps, but Titcombe Wood sits quietly near South Brent and rewards anyone willing to venture off the beaten track. It's a proper woodland walk through mixed deciduous forest - the sort of place where you actually hear birdsong rather than background music from a car park. Ancient oaks tower overhead, and the forest floor changes character with every bend in the path.

Walkers will find this genuinely rewarding. The woodland here feels genuine, not manicured. There's a real sense of moving through something wild, even if you're only ten minutes from the nearest village. Children enjoy it, though they'll need decent footwear - the ground gets boggy in patches and roots cross the path constantly.
