Tractor in a Tree

There's a tractor wedged in the branches of a tree somewhere near Stowmarket, and yes, it's exactly as odd as it sounds. This is Suffolk's most surreal roadside attraction - a genuine farming machine suspended in oak, complete with a small gallery setup around it. You'll find yourself asking the obvious question within seconds of arriving: how on earth did that get up there? The answer involves some creative engineering and a fair bit of local legend-building, which is half the appeal.

It's genuinely worth stopping for if you're camping at Stonham Barns Holiday Park or any of the other caravan spots nearby - you're only four or five miles away. You won't spend long here, mind you. Twenty minutes covers the novelty and the photo opportunities. Kids find it hilarious; adults end up squinting upward trying to work out the mechanics. The gallery element is small, but the sheer randomness of standing under an actual tractor-in-tree beats most carefully curated attractions.
