Tre-Vaughan Hill

The walk up Tre-Vaughan Hill rewards you with proper views across Carmarthenshire - rolling countryside stretching toward the Brecon Beacons on a clear day. It's not a massive peak, but that's rather the point. You can do it in under two hours from Carmarthen town, which makes it ideal if you're based at one of the nearby sites like Church House Farm Getaways or Woodland Rise.

The ascent is straightforward rather than technical, winding through farmland and scrub. The summit itself is modest in height but gives you genuine perspective over the county.
