Tree house

You climb a wooden staircase spiralling up the trunk and suddenly you're twenty feet in the air, surrounded by Scots pine and the sound of wind through needles. This tree house sits within a working nature reserve in the Highland landscape south of Beauly, offering a genuinely different way to experience the Scottish wilderness - not from the ground looking up, but from inside the canopy looking out.

You get proper views across the reserve from up there - rolling forest, distant hills on a clear day - and if you're lucky, red squirrels and woodland birds put on a show.
