The rooms are built into and around actual trees, with that peculiar mix of luxury and adventure that appeals to couples after something different. You're sleeping in the canopy rather than some sterile box on the ground floor. The main appeal is the novelty itself - waking to birdsong, eating breakfast suspended above the fields, that particular quiet you only get when you're genuinely away from it all. It's intimate and a bit precious, which matters if you're the type who finds romance in odd places.

You'll want to allow time to actually sit about rather than just photograph the exterior. This isn't a day visit unless you're seriously keen on gawping at someone else's holiday. It works brilliantly if you're staying at Port Lympne Safari Park, just a fifteen-minute drive away - break up the zoo with a night somewhere unexpected. The smaller campsites like Daleacres and Fallow Fields are close enough that you could visit during your stay without shifting your caravan.

Bit pricey for what you're getting, truthfully, but then novelty always is. Perfect for anniversaries or when you want to feel like you've actually gone somewhere rather than just parked somewhere.
