Tregoniggie Woodland

The woodland walk at Tregoniggie, just outside Truro, is one of those local spots that doesn't make it into guidebooks but absolutely should. You're walking through proper Cornish woodland - the sort with gnarled oak trees, moss-covered stone walls, and the kind of quiet that reminds you why people move to Cornwall in the first place.

It's a straightforward woodland trail, nothing too demanding. The paths are well-trodden and manageable for families with older kids, though younger ones might find it a bit samey after thirty minutes or so. The real draw is the peace of it - no gift shops, no car parks jammed with coaches, just you and the trees. Spring's lovely here when the bluebells come through, but honestly any season works.
