Blackshaw Moor Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite

Dirty showers. Untidiness feel about the place No tv, wifi or 4/5G on EE and O2 A really boring site. No food vans either on Friday/ Saturday and a large number of pitches near the A road so really noisy. One of the wardens was quite rude to. We really didn’t have a good experience here and couldn’t wait to leave

A big campsite just off the A53 and steeped in history with an information board close to reception explaining it all and a memorial to Polish soldiers too. The campsite is on a hill, with levels, however the pitches seem fairly level, they are spacious and most are separated with hedges, so it's quite private. Lovely, quiet, well kept site. Slightly less manicured than other CAMH sites but it works well. Facilities very clean and well maintained. Wardens polite, friendly and helpful. Dog walk around the edge of the site too.

Live this site, having stayed twice now and benefits from being a Caravan and Motorhome Club site, so standards are really good. Every pitch has electric hook ups, there are 2 toilet blocks, and although on a hill, it is well terraced to provide level pitches. I would avoid pitches near the entrance due to some road noise, but the higher pitches are excellent and also get plenty of sun. There are ...

Only stayed one night but it was great. Every necessary facility. Showers and toilets were spotless. Lots of choice of pitches. Very welcoming staff. Good pub 5 mins away. Highly recommended. One small downside was the pitch we chose (due to our inexperience) was on a two way gradient and we didn’t have enough adjustments on the legs, even with a convenient house brick to help us level out.
