Carmel Caravan Park

Booked to camp here a few weeks ago for 5 nights and ended up asking to stay an extra night. Little bit in the middle of nowhere 15 minutes to the nearest shop but if you like a ride out there’s some nice little towns to visit. Facilities were really clean and well maintained. Stayed here for 2 nights. Mostly seasonal static mobile homes. The owner greeted us and escorted us to our pitch. We had a few choices which was nice. I had a lot of wet clothing as we had come from shell island after a storm. I had no coins for the laundry and the owner instantly sorted me out with coins which was wonderful. Lovely campsite. Grounds very well maintained. The owners are very welcoming, cannot do enough for you. No phone signal, however does not bother us, we leave our phones behind. No shops around - so don’t forget nothing ☺️ one-way road system is quite tight by the touring pitches so bit hard to swing around. But one of my favourite campsites I’ve been too. Fishing pools are great and lovely walks. ...

On arrival we were greeted by the owners who are extremely friendly. They took us down to our pitch and made sure we were sorted and knew where everything was. The site is mainly static caravans but at the back is the touring pitches. All well maintained and nice and roomy. Ours was a hardstanding pitch with space for the awning on the hardstanding too. Extremely lovely, friendly and accommodating. Very helpful - even guided me to my camping pitch. The site is set in a beautiful location, very peaceful and bother free. The only thing you may struggle with is phone and Internet connection. Other than that I was very pleased with my stay :)
